Physics Tutor

Helpful Physics formulas

• Position = Velocity * time

• Velocity = acceleration * time = distance / time

• Force = Mass * Acceleration

• Weight = Mass * Gravity

• Density = Mass / Volume

• Acceleration = Velocity / Time

• Momentum = Mass * Velocity

• Kinetic Energy = E_k = .5mv²

• Potential Energy = E_p = m*g*h

To find the distance an object has traveled when it is thrown:

y = vt - gt²/2

Where:

y = distance traveled

v = velocity of the object

g = gravity

t = time
